Mrs . Li :( nodding ) Oh , I ' m very sure ! I was in the kitchen when I heard raised voices , so I rushed to the living room . There I saw Linda in tears , and Peter ' s handprint still red on her cheek !

Mr . Li :( in disbelief ) But why would Peter do such a thing ? They seemed so happy together .

Mrs . Li :( sighing ) Apparently , they had an argument about money . Linda accused Peter of being careless with their finances , and their argument escalated . The next thing you know , Peter lost his temper and hit her !
